Finalist project Plaza las Glorias Competition\" src=\"https:\/\/blogdeconcursos.com\/resultados\/img\/res\/057\/m057_05g.jpg\" width=\"960\" height=\"347\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Barcelona is one of the cities with more vehicles and with one of the highest indexes of contamination in Europe.\u00a095% of Barcelona\u2019s Eixample\u2019s\u00a0 surface is covered by buildings, paved sidewalks and asphalt.\u00a0Only 5% of its surface is not paved and therefore permeable.<\/p>\n<p>We are in front of an evident disequilibrium that makes us think that perhaps, the great opening that will result from the demolition of the ring in Pla\u00e7a de les Gl\u00f2ries should be left unbuilt for some time, without making it impermeable.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogdeconcursos.com\/resultados\/img\/res\/057\/h057_05a.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29\" alt=\"ReBcn - Finalist project Plaza las Glorias Competition\" src=\"https:\/\/blogdeconcursos.com\/resultados\/img\/res\/057\/m057_05b.jpg\" width=\"960\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Allow the city to enjoy a great void, stabilized\u00a0 temporarily by means of great tree plantations of different species.\u00a0Barcelona doesn\u2019t need more construction, more cars, more paved and impermeable surfaces.\u00a0Barcelona\u2019s Eixample asks for more public transportation, more bicycles more trees and more green areas.<\/p>\n<p>We propose reducing progressively the vehicle traffic until Gran Via can be cut off when arriving at Glories, becoming thus a destination and starting point rather than a bypass, a new centre for Barcelona and a new model for the city.<\/p>\n<p>Barcelona needs a great green lung that spreads through the streets around Glories and into the City.<\/p>\n<table style=\"height: 590px; ; width: 960px;\" border=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><a href=\"https:\/\/blogdeconcursos.com\/resultados\/img\/res\/057\/h057_05c.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29\" alt=\"ReBcn -
