International architectural competition splitted into five different competitions in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, for the refurbishment of five specific buildings. The objective of the competition is to encourage innovation and the development of sustainable, viable and scalable refurbishment concepts for some of the most common building types in the Nordic region.

The 5 contests are:

Apartment building, Ballerup, Denmark. A 50-year-old social housing complex in critical need of allround renewal.
Office building, Tampere, Finland. Since it was built over 30 years ago, very little has been done to keep this building up to standards.
Mixed industrial/commercial building, Reykjavik, Iceland. A light industry and commercial area built in the 80s is being transformed into a green office park for high tech companies.
Office building, Oslo, Norway. The refurbishment of Posthuset, one of Norway’s most (in)famous buildings, should provide plenty of motivation for contenders.
Apartment building, Botkyrka, Sweden. How can we make significant improvements that do not result in a higher rent?
