Open architecture competition organized by the municipality of Hillerød for a Master Plan for South Hillingdon, for the development of a new city as a natural extension of the existing city of Hillerød. The district must be created from the begining. Several major projects are in progress for the development of the new district. It’s currently approved that the district receives its own underground station and parallel to the urban development of this contest, another competition is taking place for the “Nyt Nordsjælland hospital.” The master plan has approximately 300 hectares tocover future demand for social, economic and energetic development. It seeks to include strategies for the development of the district’s new identity by managing landscape solutions. This urban development has to be planned to be developped spread over a very long period and the whole plan should be designed flexibly. The network traffic will also play an important role in the district and you should think how to connect the area with the environment and the city of Hillerød.
