Architectural competition in two phases for new construction of the Felix Platter Hospital in the city of Basel, Switzerland.
The current situation of Felix Platter Hospital no longer meets the physical and operational requirements necessary for its operation, and there is an urgent need to satisfy regulatory parameters of use.
The new hospital building will have a total of 240 hospital beds, diagnostic and treatment areas, as well as the infrastructure for the new “Center of Geriatric Medicine University of Basel” and the rehabilitation center. The budget for the new hospital will be approximately CHF 150 million CHF (incl. VAT) calculated for the creation of the new building.
The hospital building is expected to open in the summer of 2018.
