International architectural competition aimed at improving the archaeological site of Villa Adriana.  “Improving” means what is established and governed by the Code of Cultural Heritage and in particular in the general provisions of Part One, Article 6 “Improving Cultural Heritage”.

The contest requires a design that relates to:

– The creation of a newly built pavilion designed to contain the activities of cultural exchange and research, to be placed in the area called “Pantanello.”

– Musealization and accommodation of the three monuments at the archaeological site and the Greek theater called the Temple of Venus and Cnidia.

– The consolidation and restoration of the buildings mentioned in the previous paragraph.

– Project image for corporate communications and signaling through the grounds of the Villa ..

Participants must interpret the theme of the project in Villa Adriana, considering the delicate relationship between archaeological and historical reality – with their need for protection and conservation – and the current requirement of use and accessibility.
