Restricted competition for the development of Sogndal welfare Centre, in the city of Sogndal, Norway.
Sogndal municipality shall construct Sogndal welfare centre (SOS) in Sogndal in Sogn og Fjordane. SOS shall be constructed on a site by the existing welfare centre and it shall be constructed together with the existing centre with the turnkey project being for a total site of approx. 4 300 m² new building, a car park of approx. 1 200 m² and approx. 2 100 m² that is to be altered in the existing site. The total construction programme has a total of approx. 7 600 m².
The construction will house the municipality’s total health and welfare services within nursing home for long term and short term stays, quiet and baby changing room, doctors surgery, health centre, ambulance station, midwife services, rehabilitation centre, home help service, teaching and mastering centre and joint functions with a canteen, meeting rooms and teaching, stores for aids, cloakrooms and toilets in addition to the car park. In addition the site shall include the necessary areas for technical installations for data with a server park, technical room for HVAC and sanitation, electrotechnical installations and a heat plant and installations for backup power.
Parts of the construction site are steep and it is important to find solutions that give good communication lines, good use of the site and a low B/P factor. The competition shall be held in summer 2013. Sogndal municipality invites interested engineering design groups (with both ARK, LARK, RIB, RIG, RIV, RIE including PRL function for the team/group) to request participation in a restricted design contest. Sogndal municipality will send out the qualification documents that include the qualification requirements and documentation requirements for the prequalification.
