Restricted competition for the expansion and renovation of the Museum of Man and Nature in the Natural History Museum in Munich, Germany.

The Museum of Man and Nature is one of the largest natural history museums in Germany. In Bavaria, which ranks high in terms of number of visitors, there is a mismatch between the small museum and exhibit space. The aim of the competition is the expansion and reconstruction of the museum of man and nature in the area of Natural History Museum in Bavaria in the north wing of the castle Nymphenburg in Munich, with an approximate area of 11.000 square meters.

The new building requires special needs to meet the operation of the museum, well functioning connection to the existing wing and adaptation to the castle. The program is established, particularly with permanent exhibition area and temporary area and magazine spaces, an auditorium and a space for education in museums, spaces for workshops and administration areas and facilities, including museum shop and cafe.
