International architecture competition Billy Taylor that challenge the Providence community to take part in shaping the future of the Billy Taylor House.
The Billy Taylor Project is looking to transform the second floor and yard of the house to create a place to meet-up, celebrate and engage the local Mt. Hope community. A good proposal will consider how to foster learning, community building, and innovative programming making use of the current architecture of the house. Design proposals should include detailed plans for the layout and programming for the space to affect, inspire, educate and unite the local youth.
A Better World by Design and the Billy Taylor Project are challenging YOU to design the layout and programming for the second floor of the Billy Taylor House, a local RI community center, to affect, inspire, educate and unite the local youth.
The winning designer will work with the Billy Taylor project on implementing their proposal. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three submissions. The winning designs will be showcased at the 2013 A Better World by Design Conference, held September 27th – 29th.
