Restricted competition for the construction of the Central and Regional Library in Berlin.

The contest is to select a project for the construction of the Central and Regional Library in Berlin, which is the largest public library in Germany. Currently this library is distributed in three different points of the city, with the consequents problems regarding spatial conditions for users and staff that are inadequate.

A project is aimed at the union of the three buildings and a series of spatial features based on the needs of a new structure, attractive, and universal service-oriented Library in Berlin, that is projected on an area of ​​about 51,000 m².
