Restricted competition for the construction of the new research center in the Benediktbeuren, with a total of approx. 1600 m², divided as follows: approximately 900 square meters of rooms (40 single or double), about 270 m² of work areas and meeting rooms, 230 sqm conference and seminar rooms, as well as storage and other spaces.
The new building has approximately 4000 m² of land on the south of the Benediktbeuren convent, opposite the historic glass factory, the former Fraunhofer workplace.
The Fraunhofer Society expects the best results not only in conditions of design and functionality, but especially in relation to the integration of the new building with the monumental monastery complex.
