International architecture competition for the new office and residence of the German Embassy in Cairo, Egypt.

The Foreign Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany in Cairo currently uses a State-owned building, that has been planned that the mid-1970s and completed in 1982. The building complex includes both the office building and the residence of the Ambassador. The sustainable solution for accommodating the mission is the demolition and reconstruction of the Embassy building, which is considered the most economical solution on the same property.

The required commercial or living space includes approximately 3400 m². The cost limit is approximately EUR 16.8 million net.
