International architecture competition organized by the district government of Prague for community centre Hloubětínská 55.

The subject of the competition is preparation of the design of a new community centre to be located in the historical core of Hloubětin, cadastral district Hloubětin, close to the landmark-protected Church of St. George, the gardens of the Hloubětin chateau, and the ‘Crusaders’ Court’ manor-farm The community centre should  form the social focus of the vicinity, supplying spaces for meetings of

official and unofficial community groups, and a place for cooperation between the district government of Prague 14 and its citizens.

Assumed costs for the construction of the CC are estimated at 19 million CZK without VAT.

The purpose and mission of the competition is to find and reward the most suitable and interesting solution for the subject of the competition (i.e., the most suitable competition design) that meets the requirements of the announcer contained in the present competition conditions. The district government of Prague 14 will look among the prize-winning authors for a partner in the realisation of the community centre and the adjoining public spaces
