Type: Open competition for architects in two stages.
The City of Milan announces the second edition of the online international design competition, with open procedure for the design of “Cavalcavia Bussa” as a new public space between the street Quadrio , D’ Azeglio , Via Pepe , De Castliia Borsieri and procedure in ‘ Plan Garibaldi Repubblica area of Milan.
The main objective is the creation of a new pedestrian public space, with capacity for more than one multifunctional green space, sports district activities , social, cultural and recreational services.
The maximum cost of the intervention to be developed is in the amount of € 2,300,000.00 VAT ( economic situation ) .
The competition is divided into two phases:
- the first phase, anonymously , is designed to select the top 10 project proposals to be admitted to the next stage ;
- the second phase, also anonymous , aims to identify the best project proposal among those selected in the first phase .
Criteria for project evaluation :
- quality of the project from the architectural point of view , and the functional organization of space (maximum 65 points )
- quality of the proposal from the point of view of accessibility and connections to the surrounding areas (maximum 35 points) .
The competition is open to architects and engineers registered in the respective professional associations.
