IBDC-2019.jpg International Building Design Competition

The International Building Design Competition 2019 is held in conjunction with International Built Environment Week (IBEW) 2019. The theme for this year’s competition, ‘Touching Our Earth Lightly’ is by designing a group of sustainable buildings in a natural environment. This competition invites students to submit design solutions for a sustainable mixed-use building in a natural environment of Coney Island by involving all disciplines into a coherent whole. It is this coherent whole that we hope to see from the competitors, as they use contemporary design techniques for collaborating and developing an integrated design approach to come up with a co-working office building in the natural environment of Coney Island. To take part in the competition, form a team of 3-8 members, with a minimum of 3 disciplines of Architecture, Engineering and Construction.
