International Competition of Furniture Design: CETEM Design Award
The aim of this 26th edition, just as the previous editions, is to foster the professional relationship between designers and Furniture companies to strengthen the Culture of Design in the sector and to highlight its importance in the innovation process.
The competition is exclusively focused on the habitat sector and is open to domestic, contract or urban furniture projects. There are two phases to this competition: the first one, focused on the projects, and the second one, focused on the construction of prototypes together with companies of the sector.
Unlimited Projects
Projects that you have already submitted to other competitions, at fairs and/or exhibitions including social networks may be submitted… with the only condition that the products are original and have not been previously marketed.
As always, participants may submit an unlimited number of projects…
Manufacture of Prototypes
One of our main characteristics, which designers find highly interesting, is the manufacture of the prototype finalists in collaboration with a company. The CETEM Design Award aims to create a bond between design talent and the furniture industry. Therefore, in addition to rewarding designers with a monetary award, we encourage professional relationships with companies, financing the manufacture of prototypes of the 10 projects selected in the first phase.
€5,200 in Designer Awards
In this edition, the winner of the first prize will receive €3,000, the second place, €1,500, and the third place, €700. All of them, as well as the company which develops the prototype, will receive an accreditation diploma.
Online Participation
It’s getting easier, faster and closer to those who are farther away… Registration and submission of documentation is carried out fully online. From the new Cetem Design Award website you can sign up and send us all the necessary documentation to participate.

You have until September 2, 2021 to submit your projects. On our website you can find all the detailed information, the terms and conditions of the competition, and the link to register and upload the project documentation.
