Type: Open competition for architects in two stages.
Competition in two phases for the development of an urban design project for the area between the New Market Rostock, St. Mary’s Church, Long Street to North Old Town, Town Hall and the Old Town of East with a total area of about 3.75 hectares.
The judging criteria for evaluating the work includes the following:
For the first and second stage of the competition:
– Idea / Concept
– Urban references and total solution
– Diagram of the structural model (including the structure of the building mass and height growth)
– The design of buildings and open spaces
– Use and distribution
– Compliance with the functional program
Furthermore, only for the second phase:
– Traffic shaping
– Flexibility of the structure of the building for use of the concepts of variables
– Feasibility
– The efficiency and marketability
Furthermore, the promoter intends to continue services planning commission a master plan for urban development.
