Restricted competition for the design and construction of the new building of veterinary microbiology Campus of Oberschleißheim with conceptual approaches in the field of urban design and landscaping.
It is at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, with more than 49,000 students and nearly 10,000 employees and the largest university in Bavaria. Due to the considerable growth of the University in the
recent decades, the central location has the serious problem of the housing shortage.
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, in particular, has long been suffering overcrowding, buildings technically inadequate and distribution to multiple locations in Munich and the Munich district.
All veterinary services – Departments and Institutes – and veterinary campus should be concentrated on the district of Munich.
The competition is for the construction of the campus of the Institute of Infectious Diseases and Zoonoses (Microbiology), composed of the Department of Virology and Department of Bacteriology and Mycology with an approximate area of 2,750 m².
