Montelupo Ceramic Award 2018’s main theme is “everyday object”, participation to the award is free to individuals (singularly or in groups) with no limits of location or geographical origin, such as: professionals, design and applied arts students.
Ceramics have been furnishing our lives forever and Montelupo Ceramics Award is meant to emphasize not only ceramic as a material designated to the creation of precious, exclusive and purely contemplative works, but also the ceramics artifact’s design as a daily life object and its reproducibility that takes center stage in everyone’s daily life. To officially apply an online form must be filled in in full, attaching three (3) planning designs


Short Description

Fondazione Museo Montelupo Onlus, officially announces an international competition to produce a ceramic artifact during an on-site residency. Submission is free and the award also provides for a total cash prize of 4000,00 euros for the three winners.

Prizes

The prize money, given according to the jury’s unquestionable opinion, will be distributed as follows:
1ST PRIZE 2.500,00 euros net + on site residency + artifact production (WINNER)
2ND PRIZE 1.500,00 euros net + artifact production (MENTION)
3RD PRIZE production of artifact (MENTION)
Prize money is in cash and gross of taxes/withholding tax if required.

Who can Participate

Participation to the award is open to individuals (singularly or in groups) with no limits of location or geographical origin, such as: professionals, design and applied arts students. The 35 years of age limit is to be considered invalidating. (Those born after 01/01/1983 who have come to age on the date of the call for application can submit their application).
