Architectural competition to generate innovative and ecological ideas on the South covers of the Matadero, allowing greater interaction with Madrid Río and helping to improve the urban quality of the area.
The aim is to use this as a testing and innovation platform for its local and international reference and its location in the vicinity of Madrid Rio.
The selection of the Matadero rather than other locations was for several reasons. The most important is the fact that, as a cultural institution, although its history is short, has positioned itself among the cultural spaces of reference for our city, both for the quality and innovation of its content and the way they have conducted various architectural interventions on it, of great simplicity and efficiency, while ensuring minimum historical pre-existing. It has also been crucial the user profile, that recurrently and massively, visit this area of the city.
This invitation to tender may be attend by all people, companies or institutions interested in improving the urban quality of the city of Madrid.
